The Honeybee Conservancy at Rodale Institute was started in 2012 in response to the major health problems that have decimated the honeybee population in North America. Colony collapse disorder (CCD) still results in a 30% death rate every winter for these valuable pollinators with no answer in sight. We believe that individual honeybee stewards are one of the solutions to this problem.

Rodale Institute is partnering with EcoTulips to raise funds and flowers to help save the honeybee! Orgnaicailly grown bulbs tackel two of the causes of the decimation of bee poulations: it provides for increased biodiversity, and no systemic insecticides (e.g. neonicotinoids) are used.

Take part by ordering organic flower bulbs today. Proceeds from the sales of the Honeybee Conservancy Mix or any of your favorite blooms on this website will support the Rodale Institute’s healthy hive work by funding additional hives and colonies, and expanding our selection of honeybee forage plants on the farm.
